Tiffany Wilkes, 54, and her eight-year-old daughter, Clementine, were found dead after police conducted a welfare check on the Kenmore Hills property yesterday.

The alarm was raised by a friend who claimed to have received a disturbing email from Wilkes.

Police are still investigating, but have closed the crime scene at the home and confirmed they are treating the incident as a murder-suicide.

The last known images of Wilkes show her wheeling a rubbish bin to the kerb on Sunday.

Speaking today, Queensland Premier David Crisafulli said it was a difficult situation for all involved.

“[It’s] distressing for everyone, including the first responders who had to see something that no one should ever have to,” he said.

The property on Tinara Crescent was booked by Wilkes for a one-week stay and was one of many such stays the mother and daughter had been on in the last year and a half.

Video shows her wheeling out a rubbish bin on Sunday, which is the last known sighting of her before her death.

Despite being a resident of Norman Park, neighbours said Wilkes and her daughter had not been seen in the area for about 18 months. 

Nine News understands she and her daughter had stayed at various hotels and Airbnbs since she was last seen at home, about the same time she left her job as an anaesthetist at Prince Alexandra Hospital.

Police have asked anyone with information or relevant footage to come forward.
