Man charged after fatal Gregory Hills hit and run

A driver has been charged after a man was hit by a car and killed in Sydney’s southwest on Thursday.

Emergency services arrived at Village Circuit, Gregory Hills, at approximately 10:15pm where they found a 67-year-old man who had been struck by a car that allegedly failed to stop.

The victim was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Liverpool Hospital, where he later died.

The man was with his wife and adult son, collecting an item they’d purchased on Facebook Marketplace.

At approximately 10:20pm yesterday, a 31-year-old man arrived at Narellan Police Station, where he was arrested and charged with failure to stop and assist after vehicle impact causing death.

His licence has been suspended, and he has been refused bail.

He is set to appear before Parramatta Local Court today.
