NSW Transport Minister Jo Haylen’s electorate office in Sydney’s Inner West has been vandalised.

Haylen’s office on Marrickville Road in Marrickville was spraypainted with graffiti yesterday, with the words “antisemite” and “honour your oath seperate [sic] church & state” written on the glass doors.

The member for Summer Hill said the spraypainted words were a “disgraceful and cowardly act of vandalism”.

It marks the fourth time Haylen’s office has been targeted with graffiti.

“These kinds of criminal acts are designed to intimidate and divide our successful multicultural communities,” Haylen said in a statement.

“I will not be intimidated by them and nor will the rest of our Inner West community.

“My office has informed NSW Police and I have total confidence that they will find the people who did this and subject them to the full force of the law.”

NSW Police said the incident took place around 1pm yesterday.

An investigation into the offensive graffiti is ongoing.

“The NSW Police Force takes hate crimes seriously and encourages anyone who is the victim of a hate crime of witnesses a hate crime to report the matter to police through Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or through Triple Zero (000),” NSW Police said in a statement.

“It is important that the community and police continue to work together to make NSW a safer place for everyone.”

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers or police.

The graffiti on Haylen’s office follows a string of antisemitic attacks across Sydney, including an alleged attempt to set a Newtown synagogue on fire and the spraypainting and torching of a childcare centre in Maroubra.
