An investigation into a shooting is under way after a man arrived at a medical clinic with a suspected gunshot wound on Victoria’s Bellarine Peninsula.
A man, appearing to suffer from a gunshot wound, arrived at a medical practice on Nelson Road in Point Lonsdale around 10:30 a.m. today.
The 37-year-old received immediate attention from paramedics at the location before being flown by air ambulance to Alfred Hospital.
He is currently receiving treatment for injuries to his upper body and remains in critical condition.
Subsequently, police visited a residence on Gill Road, where they apprehended a 55-year-old man shortly afterward.
The detained individual is slated for questioning by authorities regarding the suspected shooting incident.
No charges have been laid.
It is understood the two men are known to each other.
