Monique Lezsak’s body was found by police in an Endeavour Hills home about 7.30am yesterday.
Sven Lindemann was taken to the Alfred Hospital under police guard with serious upper body injuries, while one of Lezsak’s twins was taken to Monash Hospital with minor injuries.
Flowers were laid at Lezsak’s parents’ home today, the place where she was allegedly stabbed and killed.
Lezsak’s best friend, Jacqueline Schwarcz, said the family was completely devastated.
“She was so kind and lived for her children. Every single day, it was just about her kids and she made sure she gave them experience and fun,” she told media today.
Both of her twin son and daughter were home at the time and Schwarcz said one of the girls was injured trying to save her mum.

“We are going to surround her and support her through this.”
The 51-year-old partner, Lindemann, remains under police guard in hospital.
No charges have been laid, but investigations are continuing.
