Denmark’s recent declaration coincides with Australia’s eSafety Commissioner collaborating with the European Union and the United Kingdom to enhance the protection of children in the digital realm.
According to a statement from Denmark’s Ministry for Digital Affairs, the country is pioneering efforts within the EU by setting age restrictions on social media platforms. This initiative aims to shield young individuals from online dangers.
“We are taking a decisive stand,” stated Caroline Stage, Denmark’s Minister for Digital Affairs.

Meanwhile, Discord, GitHub, LEGO Play, Roblox, Steam and Steam Chat, Google Classroom, WhatsApp, and YouTube Kids, have been confirmed to be exempt from the ban.
