Authorities from the Pima County Sheriff’s Department have taken an individual into custody during a traffic stop south of Tucson, Arizona. This person is currently being questioned concerning the disappearance of an 84-year-old individual.
The detention occurred near the US-Mexico border in Rio Rico, according to reports from CNN. Rio Rico is situated approximately 20 kilometers north of the border, making it a strategic location for border-related incidents.
As of now, no charges have been filed against the detained person. The County Sheriff’s Department has announced that they will provide more detailed information as it becomes available, ensuring the public stays informed about this developing situation.

FBI director Kash Patel earlier told media that investigators were looking at multiple individiuals as a “person of interest” in the case.
He said the FBI’s investigation has found there “might be person of interest in and around the area related to this event”.
Nancy, who has been missing for 10 days, was last seen at her home in Tucson on January 31.
Her daughter, journalist and long-term co-anchor of the Today US television news program Savannah Guthrie, has issued repeated pleas for information and even appealed to the unknown kidnappers, offering to pay a ransom.
The arrest comes after chilling CCTV footage of a man on the doorstep of her own was released by the FBI.
Patel posted the images online early today, saying they had been recovered “from residual data located in backend systems”.
