An allegedly drunk driver has been charged after flipping his van and taking out several parked cars in Sydney’s south.

Police claim the 44-year-old was more than three times the legal limit when he lost control.

He was cut out by emergency services and walked from the wreckage.

It was the end of a few moments of madness on Lister Avenue at Rockdale.

Authorities were first called just after 1am today.

Two cars were smashed when the driver of a van lost control.

Father Adel Razaq woke to find his car a write-off.

“I’m still asking myself how did he do it,” he said.

“I feel so bad, my wife as well is pregnant, so we have to find a solution as soon as we can.

“It’s not OK, people are impacted by these behaviours.”

The 44-year-old driver police say was responsible was taken to St George police station. He has been charged with high range drink driving and will face court on September 30.

His licence was also suspended.
