Lorenzin said everything went black.

“I remember when I come to, I was sitting in the ambulance and then they show me my bike in pieces,” he told 9news.

Lorenzin had been thrown several metres from his bike and was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

He suffered a broken pelvis, a broken shoulder and two fractured vertebrae.

“I can’t move my shoulder, I can’t walk even now,” he said.

The driver, whose car had no number plates, failed to stop.

As a result of the crash, the car lost a side mirror, which was found at the scene.

“We’d expect from that, the people driving would know they have hit someone,” Senior Sergeant Dave Hewitt said.

Police received reports of a vehicle matching the description of the BMW driving erratically in Koo Wee Rup about 20 minutes after the crash.

They released CCTV of the BMW in the hope that anyone with information will come forward.

Police are also urging anyone with CCTV or dash cam footage to also get in contact.

Lorenzin and his wife had a message for the driver.

“They’ll know what they have done, it’s disgusting,” Elvira said.

“I’m not angry for him, I feel sorry for him. They must be d—heads,” John said.
