The directors of Boozebud Holdings Ltd and Pocko Pty Ltd appointed Michael Brereton and Sean Wengel of William Buck as voluntary administrators of both companies.
Boozebud, formally known as BeerBud, was founded in 2014 by Alex Gale and Mark Woollcott but was later sold to Carlton United Breweries’ then-owner, AB InBev, in 2016.
It was rebranded to Boozebud when Carlton United Breweries was bought by Asahi, who then sold it back to its founders.

Get Wines Direct opened in 2001 and runs as a separate brand under Boozebud’s ownership.
Boozebud is the latest food, grocery or alcohol retail company to go under, with Deliveroo, Providoor and Milkrun all collapsing in the past year.
“What we’re seeing now is a slow down in discretionary spending and shoppers are saving every dollar where you can,” he said.
“You have to expect there will be more collapses occur but sadly it is small businesses particularly that are under significant pressure because they have thinner margins to operate.”
