A former My Kitchen Rules couple have been revealed as the television identities charged with serious offences against children in Queensland.

Claudean Uamaki-Mu and Anthony Mu called themselves the “married battlers” during their appearance on the 2023 season of the Channel Seven reality cooking show.

As the show aired, they were charged with dozens of serious offences.

Their identities were previously hidden due to a suppression order, which was lifted in the Richlands Magistrates Court today after Uamaki-Mu pleaded guilty to six historical common assault offences.

The court heard she kicked, hit and spat on a child. Other charges against her were dropped. 

She was sentenced today to a $1000 fine and a 12-month good behaviour bond with no convictions recorded.

Uamaki-Mu has 12 other charges, including rape, that she has been committed to stand trial on in District Court at a later date.

Other charges against her, including torture, have been dropped.

Anthony Mu was due to be sentenced on 11 summary offences after more serious charges against him were dropped.

His proceedings have been adjourned to next month.
