Authorities have apprehended three men and a woman following the fatal stabbing of a 43-year-old man at a park on the New South Wales South Coast.

The tragic incident unfolded when the man’s body was discovered on East Street in Bega around 2 a.m. on October 6, prompting strike force detectives to establish a crime scene and launch a comprehensive investigation.

In a related incident, another victim, a 45-year-old man, suffered stab wounds but has fortunately recovered after receiving treatment at South East Regional Hospital.

In a significant development, law enforcement officers executed raids on three homes located in Bega and Bemboka, resulting in the arrest of three men, aged 29, 32, and 34, along with a 19-year-old woman.

The arrested individuals were subsequently taken to Bega Police Station for further questioning.

No charges have been laid.

The arrests come just days after a public tip-off led detectives and divers to search a private property and the Glebe Wetlands on East Street.

They uncovered items of interest in the property, which are being forensically examined.

A knife, electronic devices, and two vehicles have been previously found and seized.
