A fox with an apparent fondness of shoes has been caught on CCTV stealing from a home in Melbourne’s north-east.
Shannon Romedio and his family were shocked after the crafty animal crept up to the front decking of their Watsonia home and took a thong earlier this month.
It came back days later for the other thong and a shoe.
“We had a fox strike us twice and had three items gone missing,” Romedio said.

Romedio said he thought he had first misplaced his shoes, before checking the CCTV footage.
“We were really surprised when we saw a fox come and take it,” he said.
Back in 2019, another fox was also caught stealing a pair of shoes from a different Watsonia house.
