A man from Geraldton appeared in court today, facing charges of murder in connection with the death of Terry Foord in the northern suburbs of Perth.

Anthony Walley has been accused of causing the death of 69-year-old Foord, who was discovered with severe injuries at a state housing property in Padbury on Wednesday night.

Emergency responders administered first aid to Foord, affectionately known to his family as “Pop Terry,” before he was transported to Royal Perth Hospital. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter.

Following the incident, homicide detectives and forensic specialists arrived at the scene to collect evidence as part of their investigation.

Authorities suspect that Walley and Foord were acquainted prior to the tragic event.

Neighbours say they regularly heard yelling at the house and this wasn’t the first time police were called to the Buchanan Way home.

The 39-year-old accused, from the Geraldton suburb of Wonthella, about four hours north of Padbury, was arrested at the scene.

Walley has been remanded in custody and will be back in court at the end of the month.
