Heartfelt Tributes Pour In for 23-Year-Old Father Who Tragically Passed After Street Incident

A 23-year-old man who died on a southern Queensland street after an altercation has been remembered as a loving father.

A violent altercation erupted between a group of individuals at a bus stop near Bell Street in Toowoomba at approximately 9:30 p.m. last night.

The confrontation extended to a nearby Middle Eastern restaurant, where 23-year-old Jack Norman Roberts tragically collapsed.

Emergency responders arrived promptly at the scene and attempted to revive Roberts, but their efforts were unsuccessful.

Roberts’ sister, Ruth, described him as a generous person who “would literally give you the shirt off his back.”

“He was the best father, son, brother, and uncle,” Ruth shared, reflecting on her brother’s character.

“He adored his son, he made a nice life for himself.”

Police set up multiple crime scenes where forensics worked through the night to try to piece together what happened.

There is no ongoing threat to public safety.
