The formidable four-and-a-half-meter crocodile affectionately dubbed Old Faithful carries profound cultural importance for the First Nations community.
“For certain members of the Kuku Warra Aboriginal people, Old Faithful serves as a totemic creature, symbolizing deep-rooted cultural ties and familial connections,” a spokesperson explained.
The Queensland Department of Environment released a statement confirming that, due to Old Faithful’s immense size and cultural value, they have selected the most appropriate facility for his care.
