A man has been charged today over his alleged role in antisemitic attacks in Sydney’s eastern suburbs last year.

The 36-year-old man was arrested at Parklea Correctional Centre yesterday, accused of damaging vehicles and buildings at Woollahra on December 11.

Images from the scene showed apparent anti-Israel graffiti.

He was charged with participating in criminal activity, damaging property and driving a vehicle without consent of the owner.

The man was refused bail and is scheduled to face court in April.

The alleged torching of two vehicles and graffitiing of two buildings and the footpath along Magney Street left an estimated $20,000 worth of damage.

The charging of the man follows the arrest of a 34-year-old woman at a home in Liverpool last month. She remains before the court.

A total of 13 people, ranging from the ages of 19 to 40, have now been charged under Strike Force Pearl, set up by NSW Police to investigate a spate of alleged antisemitic attacks.

Anybody who is the victim of a hate crime or witnesses a hate crime is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
