A suburban manhunt is under way for an unknown man accused of ramming a police car, before fleeing the scene in Brisbane.
Police warned residents to be on the lookout for a shirtless man after a white Kia Picanto, believed to be bearing stolen plates, allegedly struck the back of a police car on Youngs Crossing Road in Joyner, in Brisbane’s north, about 3pm AEST.

An intense search was launched across Joyner after a male driver reportedly fled the scene of a crash on foot. Witnesses describe the man as wearing white shorts and no shirt, setting off a dramatic police pursuit.

The suspect allegedly led officers on a high-stakes chase, weaving through school grounds and backyard spaces, before managing to temporarily evade capture. This prompted a widespread effort to locate him, involving multiple resources.

In a coordinated response, police officers, supported by the dog squad and PolAir crews, canvassed the area, knocking on doors in hopes of tracking down the elusive individual. The community watched as law enforcement intensified their search efforts to bring the man to justice.

The man allegedly took officers on a chase through school grounds and backyards, before police lost sight of him.
