Rock legend dies aged 74

Ace Frehley, the iconic lead guitarist and a founding member of the legendary glam rock band KISS, has passed away at the age of 74. Known for his electrifying performances, signature makeup, and smoke-emitting guitar, Frehley left an indelible mark on rock music and its fans.

The revered American rock musician died peacefully on Thursday in New Jersey, surrounded by family. His passing follows complications from a recent fall, as confirmed by his agent.

In a heartfelt statement, Frehley’s family expressed their deep sorrow and heartbreak. They vowed to cherish his infectious laughter and remember the warmth and kindness he shared with those around him.

KISS, renowned for their theatrical stage presence, brought hits like “Rock and Roll All Nite” and “Detroit Rock City” to life with explosive performances. The band, famous for their black-and-white face paint, towering platform boots, and elaborate costumes, captivated audiences worldwide.

Ace Frehley, alongside his bandmates, was honored with induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014, a testament to their enduring influence and legacy in the music world.
