The multimillion-dollar lottery prize-winning run in Tasmania continued on the weekend, with one mystery player pocketing $2.5 million.

Lottery officials are today urging residents and visitors in the city of Launceston to check their TattsLotto tickets to see if they’re the lucky winner.

They say the holder of the winning ticket is probably starting their working week with no idea they are now an instant millionaire.

The Tasmanian winner held one of the eight division one winning entries in draw 4605 on Saturday, September 6. Every winning entry was worth $2.5 million.

So far this year, the Apple State has recorded 11 division one wins, collectively worth more than $13 million. Five of the winning tickets have been in Launceston.

The latest winning entry was purchased at Racecourse Newsagency & Gifts in the Launceston Shopping Centre.

The Lott spokesperson Matt Hart says when the mystery discovers their new-found riches they’ll be “jumping for joy”.

“If you do discover that you are holding the winning ticket, contact The Lott on 131 868 to begin the process of claiming your prize,” he said.

“This is a great reminder to all players to register their lottery tickets to a player card or online account with The Lott Members Club, so if you score a major prize, we can call you right away.”

The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 4605 last Saturday were 43, 6, 21, 10, 42 and 16, while the supplementary numbers were 23 and 36.
