Man suffers burns to 90 per cent of his body after explosion

An explosion has left a Queensland man with burns to 90 per cent of his body, and injured two others.

The 21-year-old was taken to Royal Brisbane Hospital after he was caught in the explosion, which occurred at an Isuzu dealership in the Gold Coast suburb of Arundel.

Firefighters were called to the scene to provide assistance during the incident.

Two other men suffered serious burns after the powerful blast.

They were taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital for treatment.
