Manly Sea Eagles player Gordon Chan Kum Tong could face disciplinary action from the NRL following a sideline confrontation with two Warriors fans on Friday night.

The incident occurred during Manly’s disappointing 36-16 loss to the Warriors at Auckland’s Go Media Stadium.

Footage circulating on social media shows Chan Kum Tong approaching a Warriors supporter who was reportedly heckling Sea Eagles veteran Jake Trbojevic as he exited the field after receiving a sin bin.

Chan Kum Tong is seen grabbing the fan by the jersey before another Warriors fan intervenes to separate the pair.

The NRL has confirmed it is investigating the incident after becoming aware of the footage shared online.

The confrontation added further frustration to an already difficult night for Manly.

Key players Tom Trbojevic and Daly Cherry-Evans both sustained injuries, compounding their struggles against a dominant Warriors side.

Tom Trbojevic, who scored an early long-range try in just the third minute, was forced from the field late in the match with hamstring tightness.

Manly officials were adamant that the decision to withdraw him was precautionary, given his history of hamstring issues.

Coach Anthony Seibold provided initial assessments post-match, confirming the fullback’s issue involved his left hamstring.

‘Turbo was feeling a little bit of tightness, so we need to get both of them checked,’ Seibold said.

Cherry-Evans, Manly’s 36-year-old halfback, left the field with just seven minutes remaining, collapsing during play due to back spasms.

‘Chez had a little back spasm there, so he needs to get checked,’ Seibold said.
