Police discovered a woman’s body at a residence on Mountain Highway, close to Dorset Road in Bayswater, shortly after 11 a.m. today.
Approximately 40 minutes later, authorities apprehended a 39-year-old Bayswater man at a bus shelter located around two kilometers from the scene.
The man is currently being interrogated by the police.
According to initial reports, it appears that the man and the woman were acquainted, as confirmed by law enforcement officials.
A substantial crime scene has been set up as investigators continue their work.
A heavy police presence remained at the home tonight, with homicide squad detectives trying piece together the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death.
