More than 30,000 people remain cut off from the outside world in New South Wales as the state’s flood crisis continues.

An extra 200 emergency service personnel have been deployed from interstate to support crews on the Mid North Coast.

Flood waters are mostly in retreat, but 32,000 people remain cut off.

Fourteen towns in the region are completely isolated, including Croki, Moto, South West Rocks, Hat Head, Crescent Head, Louth Park, Gillieston, Duckenfield, Millers Forest, Woodberry Swamp, Lambs Valley, Anambah, Hinton, and Osterley.

Resupply missions are underway with crews ferrying supplies such as food, water, and medicine to residents.

Access is improving for other parts of the Mid North Coast, with the Pacific Motorway between south Taree and Coopernook reopening last night.

Drivers are nonetheless urged to take care and drive slow, as there is a lot of debris on the road.

The Bureau of Meteorology has issued final flood warnings for the Clarence, Bellinger, Macleay, Hastings, and Manning rivers, as well as St Georges Basin.

However, flood warnings remain in place for the Hunter, Hawkesbury, and Orara rivers, as well as Tuggerah Lake.

The Bureau has forecast a dry, cold week for much of the state.

A strong cold front will cross most of NSW tomorrow and Tuesday, bringing wintry conditions with showers and blustery westerly winds.

This will be followed by a slow moving high pressure system that will extend in a ridge across the state, bringing generally dry and stable weather patterns from mid-week.
