Astonishingly, a motorist walked away with only minor injuries after a dramatic crash during peak hours in the inner suburb of Prospect, Adelaide.
The accident unfolded on Regency Road when a vehicle emerged from a driveway, leading to a collision with a van.
The force of the crash tipped the van onto its side, causing it to skid across the roadway.
Meanwhile, another car was pushed over the median strip, ending up on the opposite side of the road.
Nearby tradesmen swiftly came to the rescue. One recounted to 9News his readiness to assist the van driver, only to be left speechless as the driver began climbing out of the wreck and walked away unscathed.
“They opened the door from there and they tried to pull the man out but the man himself came out,” a witness said.
The van driver was taken to hospital with a minor back injury.
The driver of the Mazda, a woman in her 30s, has been fined for driving without proper control.
