The alleged leader of a neo-Nazi group remains behind bars 24 hours after he was granted bail in a bizarre stand-off.

Authorities have told 9News that Thomas Sewell was transferred to the Adelaide Remand Centre and was still refusing to sign his bail agreement.

He can leave the remand centre at any time if he agrees to abide by the conditions set by the magistrate, but he claimed in court he would not, and so far he appears to be standing by his word.

More than a dozen of Sewell’s alleged neo-Nazi co-accused who have been charged over their participation in the Australia Day unrest did sign their bail agreements and were released last night.

Their bail conditions include being banned from entering the Adelaide CBD.

They’re also banned from communicating with each other.

Asked whether or not the group had any plans for Anzac Day, one said, “Obviously we’re being dragged through courts”.

“Some of the guys are in jail right now, so our plans for the future are on hold until we can figure out this mess,” he said.

Sewell will appear in court again in April.
