Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s plane has taken off from Missouri after an unscheduled stopover on the way home from his White House visit to meet with Donald Trump.
The plane landed in St Louis after an RAAF staff member was injured when an item fell from the overhead locker.
The staff member has been taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The military representative is not considered a part of the prime minister’s personal staff.

The two leaders met in the White House on Monday to discuss trade, AUKUS, critical minerals and a potential visit to Australia.
The trip was deemed a success, with the signing of a critical minerals deal and Trump throwing his support behind AUKUS.
