A baby food item distributed in Connecticut and across 48 other states has been recalled due to a potential health risk, the Food and Drug Administration announced.

Initiative Foods has recalled its Tippy Toes brand Apple Pear Banana Fruit puree. The recall was prompted by the detection of elevated patulin levels, a naturally occurring substance that molds can produce in various fruits, according to the FDA.
