President Biden Battles Escalating Cancer and Debilitating Pain, Son Reveals

A spokesman for the former US president said in ‌October he was undergoing radiation treatment and hormone therapy.

Former US President Joe Biden is experiencing significant pain as his prostate cancer has advanced beyond his bones, according to his son, Hunter Biden, in a recent BBC interview.

“The cancer has metastasized further than just his bones,” Hunter Biden explained during the BBC’s Newsnight program, with a video of the interview being shared online on Friday.

“It’s exceptionally painful and has been debilitating in numerous ways,” he continued.

On Saturday, a spokesperson for the 83-year-old Democrat opted not to provide any additional comments regarding Hunter Biden’s revelations.

Back in May 2025, just a few months after his departure from the White House, Biden disclosed his diagnosis of an “aggressive form” of prostate cancer. At the time, he acknowledged that the cancer had already spread to his bones.

A Biden spokesman said in ‌October he was undergoing radiation treatment and hormone therapy.

Biden was the oldest person to win the US presidency at the time of his election in 2020.

Biden’s physical health and mental acuity drew ‌scrutiny during his 2021 to 2025 presidency.

Biden attended the dedication of Barack Obama’s presidential library in June in Chicago. Biden served as Obama’s vice president from 2009 to 2017.

Biden’s presidential memoir is scheduled for release on 17 November.
