A Queensland man has been charged with torture, murder and kidnapping after the death of a 52-year-old man earlier this week.

The 52-year-old went to Logan Hospital at 12.30am on Monday with “significant head injuries”.

Police were then called to the hospital to investigate.

He was rushed to a specialist care facility but died on Tuesday night.

Police allege he had been assaulted on Rudyard Street in Inala about 6.30pm on Sunday.

At 11am today, a 31-year-old man was arrested at a house in Griffin.

He has been charged with murder, grievous bodily harm, armed robbery and two counts of torture and kidnapping.

He is due to appear before Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow.

Police said the two men were known to each other.

Investigations are continuing.
