“I got a phone call at about 2.30 this morning and one of our other good mates goes ‘oh look Jack, obviously you’re best mates with him and unfortunately he’s passed away’,” friend Jack Jenkins told 9News.

The heavy diesel mechanic was out for a cruise when the driver lost control.

“No one deserves to die this young, but he was too good of a person to leave this earth too early,” friend Shae Jenkins told 9News.
