Savannah Guthrie expressed on Tuesday (Wednesday morning AEDT) that her family remains hopeful for a miracle in the quest to find her mother alive, yet they also accept the possibility that it might be too late.
Officials have raised alarms regarding Nancy Guthrie’s condition, as she requires essential daily medication for her well-being.
“She may have already returned home to the Lord she adores and is joyfully dancing in heaven,” Savannah reflected.
Eighty-four-year-old Nancy Guthrie was last seen at her residence near Tucson, Arizona, on January 31, with her disappearance reported the following day.
Investigators suspect a kidnapping, and the FBI has distributed surveillance images of a masked individual lurking outside Guthrie’s front door the night she disappeared.
Drops of her blood were found on the front porch, but authorities haven’t publicly revealed much evidence.
Savannah Guthrie said her family needs to know where her mother is no matter what happened.
“Someone out there knows something that can bring her home,” she said.
Several hundred people are working the Guthrie investigation, and more than 20,000 tips have been received, the Pima County Sheriff’s Office has said.
The FBI and other agencies are assisting.
