A Queensland mother says she is living in fear after her car was sparkler bombed following months of allegedly menacing phone calls from an unknown number.

The 28-year-old told 9News there were sparkler bombs found inside.

It came after months of allegedly harassing phone calls from unknown numbers.

“When I would answer they would play like a news recording of like a news anchorwoman saying that someone was stabbed,” Walker said.

“I just kind of thought that it was just, you know, someone pranking me, trying to be funny.”

After Walker stopped answering the calls, she claims she began to receive chilling voicemails that included recordings of horror movie theme songs.

“One, two, Freddy’s coming for you. Three, four, better lock your door,” one voicemail could be heard saying.

Police have charged a 19-year-old man over the alleged arson and are investigating whether the calls are linked.

“We’re terrified they’re going to come back and have a second go,” Walker said.

“It could have been our house instead of our car so, in a way, we’re sort of lucky but still, very scary.”
