Two young children are sought after going missing in southern Sydney yesterday.

Normani Murray-Lawrence, aged 5, and her younger brother Laphius Murray-Lawrence, aged 2, were last observed at a residential complex on Pitt Street in Waterloo around midday yesterday.

Normani is described as a young girl with an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander appearance. She stands approximately 105cm tall and was last seen in a pink dress paired with white sandals.

Laphius is a young boy, also of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander appearance, standing about 85cm tall. When last seen, he was wearing a navy blue jumper and shorts, without shoes, and was being carried in a stroller.

The siblings are thought to be accompanied by a 24-year-old woman. She is described as having an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander appearance, approximately 160cm in height, with long brown hair and a slim build. She was last seen wearing a black hooded jumper, a red t-shirt, black leggings, and a black cap, also without shoes.

She has an injured right leg and may be seen limping, and is known to frequent Waterloo and Redfern, police said.

They may also be in the company of a 35-year-old man, described as being of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander appearance, 165cm tall, with a slim build, who was last seen wearing grey tracksuit pants, black shoes, a red-and-black polo shirt, white jacket, and black backpack.

Police believe they may be driving a white dual cab 2013 Nissan Navara with NSW plates reader DH13TM.

Anybody with information is urged to contact South Sydney Police, or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online.
