In a recent update, NSW Health has informed the public that some patients who have been discharged may still require follow-up treatment. This comes after the shocking incident where gunfire erupted during a public gathering.

There were still 15 patients receiving care in Sydney hospitals, with their conditions ranging from critical to stable.

As of 7:30 p.m., details emerged about those still receiving medical care. Among the brave individuals recovering is a 14-year-old girl, whose quick thinking and courage possibly saved lives. She sustained a gunshot wound to her thigh while heroically shielding two toddlers from the sudden attack.

  • One patient is in a stable condition at Prince of Wales Hospital.
  • One patient is in a critical but stable condition and one patient is in a stable condition at St George Hospital.
  • Three patients are in a critical but stable condition and one patient is in a stable condition at St Vincent’s Hospital.
  • One patient is in a critical condition and four patients are stable at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.
  • Three patients are in a stable condition at Royal North Shore Hospital.

Due to legal restrictions, the young heroine’s identity remains undisclosed. Her actions during the chaos that ensued when the alleged father and son assailants began shooting were nothing short of extraordinary.

Another individual still hospitalized is Ahmed al Ahmed, 44, who played a critical role in containing the threat. He is widely hailed as a hero for his daring move to disarm one of the attackers, undoubtedly preventing further harm.

The tobacco shop owner has undergone multiple emergency surgeries after being “riddled with bullets” in the incident.

In the midst of the grief, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese admitted he could have done more to combat antisemitism as he announced reforms through a five-point plan.
