Authorities have charged a 33-year-old woman with operating an unregistered daycare facility in Denham Court, allegedly taking in children without the necessary legal permits and failing to pay rent for the premises.
According to police reports, the unauthorized daycare was in operation from November 2023 until April 2024.
Investigators further accuse the woman of fabricating documents related to real estate transactions and engaging in fraudulent activities with government entities, including the Australian Taxation Office and Services Australia.
Yesterday morning, around 9 a.m., the woman was apprehended at Parramatta Police Station.
She now faces several charges related to fraud and was denied bail. She is scheduled to appear in Parramatta Local Court today.
Police will allege in court the woman committed fraud to the value of $400,000.
