Police have reported that a dog attacked four individuals—two men and two women—inside a residence on James Cook Drive in Melton at approximately 10 p.m. last night.
Council rangers have taken the dog involved in the attack into custody, along with a second dog present at the location.
A man in his twenties sustained injuries to his midsection and was transported to Western Hospital Footscray, where he is listed in stable condition.
Another victim, a teenage male, suffered injuries to his lower body and is currently receiving treatment at Sunshine Hospital. He is in a serious yet stable condition.
A woman in her thirties was also injured, with wounds affecting her lower to mid-body areas. She was taken to Royal Melbourne Hospital and is being treated for serious but stable injuries.
A female in her late teens was treated for lower-body to mid-body injuries and was transported to Sunshine Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are unknown at this stage.
Melton City Council has been contacted for comment.
