In a shocking incident that unfolded yesterday morning, police report that a 16-year-old boy stabbed a childcare worker on her way to work at the M-City Shopping Centre in Clayton. The attack occurred just before 8 a.m. and has left the community reeling.
Surveillance cameras captured the 25-year-old woman from Mount Waverley as she made her way through the shopping center. The footage shows a male figure emerging from behind a wall, closely trailing her onto an escalator.

He has been charged with intentionally causing injury, recklessly causing injury, assault with a weapon, possessing a controlled weapon, theft and committing an indictable offence whilst on bail.
He has been remanded to appear at a children’s court at a later date.
