In a dramatic incident reportedly unfolding in Melbourne’s western suburbs, two men engaged in a fierce street altercation, allegedly using metal poles as weapons. The entire episode was recorded by CCTV cameras.
The confrontation took place on a sidewalk in Sunshine West, with both individuals purportedly wielding metal rods. The clash began as the men apparently goaded each other until the 19-year-old got into a vehicle and allegedly rammed the 30-year-old twice.
Incredibly, the older man managed to stand up without any visible injuries, as onlookers, visibly stunned, attempted to intervene and prevent the participants from fleeing the scene.
Amidst the chaos, the owner of a nearby parked grey ute unwittingly found themselves entangled in the unfolding saga.
The innocent owner of a grey ute parked nearby was caught up in the drama.
Police arrived on scene within minutes and took the pair into custody.
It is not clear what sparked the fight but it is understood the two men involved were known to each other.
The 19-year-old has since been charged with a string of serious offences including assault with a weapon and dangerous driving.
He has been bailed while the other man was released on summons.
