Shocking Stabbing Incident in Sydney’s West Leaves Two Injured: Latest Updates

A violent altercation in Sydney’s western suburb of Merrylands resulted in a man being stabbed and a woman sustaining injuries late last night.

Authorities responded to an emergency call at a residence on Burnett Street around 10 p.m., where they discovered a 28-year-old man suffering from stab wounds to his thigh and face. A 21-year-old woman was also found injured, with cuts to her arms.

Both individuals were transported to Westmead Hospital to receive medical care for their injuries.

Police have apprehended a 24-year-old man in connection with the incident, which is being treated as an act of domestic violence.

Charges are yet to be laid.
