“The plane passed just above our house a few minutes ago,” recounted Sam, a caller to 3AW. “It was so low that I could see the wheels down, and I even waved to the passengers as they flew over. I’ve never seen a plane fly that low before—it was quite alarming.”

Video evidence suggests that the aircraft was releasing fuel as it navigated back to the airport.

Footage appears to show the plane dumping fuel as it made its way back to the airport.

The flight landed safely at Melbourne Airport about an hour after takeoff.

The plane had experienced a technical issue,t according to Singapore Airlines.
