Erskineville crash: Six teens arrested after police chase in Sydney's Inner West

Six teenagers have been arrested after a police chase ended in a horror crash in Sydney’s Inner West.

Police said about 12.35am today officers attempted to stop a car at Erskineville Road in Erskineville, which was allegedly linked to an earlier pursuit. 

The driver allegedly failed to stop and another police chase gave way before the hatchback crashed into a pole on Botany Road, Mascot.

All six boys allegedly fled from the crash site before they were located within the vicinity and arrested.

The driver – a 14-year-old boy – was treated at the scene for abdominal pain and taken to Sydney Childrens Hospital in a stable condition.

The passengers suffered no injuries but were taken to the same hospital as a precaution.

The group remain in hospital under police guard.

A crime scene has been established and police have commenced an investigation into the incident.
