A fruit-shaped sorbet product has been withdrawn from retail shelves due to concerns over an undisclosed allergen.

Food Standards Australia and New Zealand have issued a warning that Family Select’s frozen sorbets, including mango, strawberry, and lychee varieties, might contain milk.

The sorbets in question have best before dates reaching up to June 22, 2027.

FSANZ cautioned that individuals with milk allergies or intolerances could experience adverse reactions if they consume the product.

‘Any consumers who have a milk allergy or intolerance may have a reaction if the product is consumed,’ FSANZ said in a statement.

‘Consumers should return the products to the place of purchase for a full refund.

‘Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice.’

The product has been sold at Spudshed in Western Australia as well as online.
