Authorities are actively searching for the individual responsible for this bold maneuver, cautioning that such actions constitute a serious offense with substantial legal repercussions.

The unusual event took place shortly before 6:00 p.m. yesterday. Security footage shows someone operating the excavator, skillfully maneuvering its bucket to completely block the speed camera, effectively disabling it.

Local workers have noted that excavators are commonly stationed at the location due to ongoing underground gas pipe work. However, they emphasize that the machines are typically secured without keys left inside overnight. Nonetheless, some universal keys could potentially start these machines.

While some locals found it amusing to block the camera, authorities were less than impressed.
