Neighbours on a busy street in Sydney‘s south-west are demanding more safety measures be put in place after a P-plater crashed into several cars. 

A black Chevrolet Silverado rolled several times, smashed into two parked cars before the vehicle landed on a Toyota Corolla on Sharp Street in Belmore at 10.30pm last night.

The owner of the Toyota, Jonathan Kim, said he was “shocked” by the scene.

“Just shock, really just complete shock, also trying to figure out if the driver is okay as well,” he said.

Local man Kieran was sleeping when he heard a loud bang.

“I think they crawled out the front window,” he said. 

“I was upstairs and then I came downstairs to make sure everything was okay.

“By that time they were already out of the vehicle.”

The teenage P-plate driver and his three passengers were uninjured.

Paramedics treated a young girl in the back for shock.

The 19-year-old driver was breath tested at the scene last night but returned a negative result.

Police are investigating whether speed was a factor in the crash.

Neighbours have told 9News Sharp Street is notorious for speeding in general and more safety measures need to be brought in.
