Three teens have been charged and more arrests are expected after a brawl at Broadway Shopping Centre in Sydney.

On Wednesday evening, around 5:50 p.m., law enforcement responded to a disturbance at a shopping center on Bay Street in Glebe. Upon arrival, officers learned that an altercation had erupted in the food court involving a group of teenagers and another youth.

The confrontation escalated quickly, leading the teenagers to hurl chairs at the boy. Some of these chairs tumbled down to the lower levels of the shopping center, posing a risk to other patrons.

Video footage from the scene suggests that the teens did not limit their aggression to the initial target. Other shoppers, including a woman on an escalator, were seemingly caught in the crossfire, with at least one stool hitting her.

By the time the authorities reached the location, both the group of teenagers and the boy they had confronted had already fled, leaving the scene without any reported injuries.

The group of teens and the boy they initially confronted fled the scene before police arrived, and no injuries were reported.

A 16-year-old boy and two 15-year-old boys were charged with affray, while one of the 15-year-olds was also charged with breaching bail.

All three were refused bail and will appear in court today.

Police say the investigation continues and further arrests are expected.
