The pursuit took a dramatic turn as the Porsche crashed through a fence at the Woodville golf course in Guildford, briefly continuing its reckless path across the greens.

The vehicle eventually came to a halt, at which point several passengers abandoned the car and ran, while the driver tried to conceal himself in the golf course’s shrubbery.

However, with the help of police helicopters and the dog unit, authorities successfully located and apprehended the driver.

A gun was found in the car, and police will allege the number plates on the Porsche were cloned.

The 17-year-old was taken to Parramatta Police Station, where he is assisting police.

Charges are yet to be laid.

A crime scene has been declared, with police commencing an investigation into the incident.
