The car allegedly reversed at speed and collided with a police car behind it, before driving forward and crashing into a second police car.

Three boys were removed from the car and arrested while the fourth man ran from the scene.

Police chased the man down and arrested him in a nearby backyard.

The Nissan was allegedly stolen from a Clyde North home earlier in the week.

A 13, 14 and 16-year-old boy were charged with theft of a car and were bailed to appear in children’s court at a later date.

A 21-year-old man was charged with the theft of a motor vehicle.

He was bailed to appear before Dandenong Magistrates Court on April 30.
