Australia’s most elite schools have become more expensive, with three charging over $50k in school fees for Year 12s in 2025.
Edstart’s new annual school fees report highlights the most expensive states to send your child to school by analysing 902 non-government schools across the country.
Fees nationally jumped by 6.03 per cent this year, according to the report.
The ACT had the highest median fees ($17,216) and Victoria boasted the most expensive school nationwide, but NSW dominated the top ranks for the most expensive schools.
Schools in Sydney makeup eight out of the top 10 most expensive Australian schools list this year.
However, NSW’s median school fee for non-government-owned schools is $9315, the third-highest state median in 2025.
Half of the top 10 most expensive schools are all-boys schools, while three are co-ed and two are all-girls.
