Bali authorities have issued a reminder to tourists to adhere to local regulations after a visitor was detained during a prominent holiday on the island.
The tourist informed the police that he had no choice but to walk from a villa in Ubud as his stay had ended.
He claimed to be unaware that transportation services were not available during this time.
Officers clarified the local regulations to the tourist and arranged temporary lodging for him at a nearby villa until his holiday concluded.
Chief Chandra Citra Kesuma of the Gianyar Sub-Regional Police emphasized that all international tourists should respect Bali’s traditional customs to ensure community harmony.

Activities including work, travel, leisure and entertainment after prohibited between 6am and 6am the following day.
During the holiday, the streets of Bali are empty and the airport remains closed for the entire day.
